Dallas BBQ

Dallas BBQ. What can I say that the photos can’t? Let me try.

This is a peach margarita. It’s “Texas size.”
Resampled_2013-02-08_20-07-39_742This is a ribs and honey-basted chicken combo with fries and cornbread, in case you can’t tell.

DBBQ, as we affectionately refer to it, used to be Rob and my go-to date place. We’d go to the one in Times Square before a movie when we were in college. We went here because, hello, look how delicious it is, and it’s really cheap. As in, you get a quarter chicken, fries (or baked potato or rice) and cornbread for $6.00. Anyway, we hadn’t been in a while but we went here last night with Ellen and it was her first time going. I find that so hard to believe because I have been to DBBQ like 20 times. Unfortunately, I’m not exaggerating.

I was watching “Food Crawl with Lee Ann Wong” on the Cooking Channel…have you been to or heard about any of these places?? Looked delicious!

Talde for pretzel dumplings and ramen noodles (Park Swope)
The Hurricane Club/Dim Sum for green glass noodles and chicken shu mai
Vanessa’s Dumpling House for handmade dumplings (lower east side)
Shorty Tang & Son’s for sesame noodles and YUGI for ramen (Smorgasburg)
