Smorgasburg – Fried fish

September 2, 2012 by Emily Pergament

While Rob was eating his schnitzel, Mark and Claire got fish and chips…

…and I got a fish sandwich…

…from Handsome Hank’s Fish Hut.

The fish sandwich ($8 for a huge sandwich and cole slaw) is the dish that we’ve gotten the most times at Smorgasburg (three times, all this summer). In fact, I’d go as far as to say that this is my favorite vendor at Smorgasburg. Like I said, it’s huge, so it’s good for sharing (especially since you want to try everything at Smorgasburg!), and it’s always served hot, and the tartar sauce is nice and spicy.

The fries on the fish and chips platter looked really good. But I like how the sandwich, though messy, is pretty easy to eat since it’s contained with the bread. I think I’ll stick with the sandwich next time as well.

  1. Mark says:

Delicious but also by far the most difficult meal I’ve ever attempted to eat. Except maybe for the Benihana onion soup with chopsticks…
